Welcome to a very Personal and Heartbreaking Site that I share My Loss of My Forever 21 YO Eldest Son.

My first sweet little angel, that I borrowed from heaven.
*Missing him daily and dearly.*
The main reason I am an advocate for suicide awareness and prevention.

I am completely numb; most of the time. People want to know "how I get through "IT"... That is how I stay numb most of the time and the rest of the time I keep myself extremely busy!

I hope to inform others, not only about whom my eldest son, Tavin was; but also to help others understand the oh-so-painful loss and void this leaves on your family. I don't want anyone to ever go through this kind of loss; it hurts so much, words really do not describe these feelings with much justice.
I feel that if I share this very painful and personal side of my life with others; it may bring some good to someone in need of it. Or at least some awareness of the subject of suicide. I want people to talk about it, not to shove it under the rug, and hope you never personally have to deal with it.
If you have ever felt a little depressed,  maybe only for a moment, or a day, a week, even just a little winter blues; then you know that feeling of helplessness (the worst self-damaging emotion, in my opinion)
Or perhaps you have been one of the very fortunate few, that have never been more than a little sad, and had a good reason, so to speak.  I truly do hope that you are one of those fortunate people!

Still, this is such a major problem in our world; that it is tough to ignore. I am very surprised that our government hasn't taken a more preventative approach to these rising statistics. Especially with the increasing number of suicides afflicted by our brave men and woman in the military.

I am a voice for mental illness; call me crazy, nuts, or insane, fine. But, if you think you know what depression really looks like, think again...

You could even have a form of mental illness, would you admit it? Or would you be the one who rudely stares or laughs and points?
Or would you be the one to lend an ear when a friend or family member seems to be in distress? Sometimes that is all it takes to feel a different emotion, besides sadness or worthlessness; is to have someone believe in them.
